Another absolutely fascinating post, Bryan! I was really interested to read about the Global Seed Bank - and how it's a back-up of a back-up for other seed banks. I've visited Kew's Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst, not far from us here in Sussex - it's extraordinary. 🌱

Thanks, Rebecca - I'm really glad you liked it! I found the idea to be remarkable - and I'm very glad there are people out there thinking about creating such things. I'll definitely check out the the Wakehurst Seed Bank - I had no idea it existed! Thanks!

I agree: that Seed Bank is really interesting. As was this post in general Bryan, more provocative than most. My wife and I just found five books that we want to read aloud to each other this year, and I think you just named the sixth.

Very glad you liked it - and yes, the slightly 'more provocative' take is correct. I try to stay apolitical - I just want to turn people onto cool things - but reality is inevitably creeping in. Especially this year.

Homo Deus is very interesting - I need to reread it as I've forgotten most of it - but Harari has a very unique mind which allows some seriously broad connections to be made. The book is certainly a conversation worth listening in on. Let me know what you think of it. And I love that you and your wife read aloud to each other - what are the books you've chosen?
