My daughter and I have very recently been discussing the genius of Brian Eno - along with his prolixity. She said a dream come true would be to be able to talk with Brian and David Byrne together. Wow - how interesting would that be.

Really enjoyed this edition!

Eno is amazing. I’m not exactly sure when I discovered Oblique Strategies, but it was probably when I was looking into the Long Now Foundation a few years ago (that’s going to be a Bus Stop soon). And what a dream conversation that would be - though to really mix things up, I’d add Nick Cave!

I love them, too - first discovered them about 10 years ago and have brought them out on occasion when I'm stuck with my writing. Eno's a genius!

For the Oblique Strategies alone, I love it. I’m looking forward to giving them a try

Lots of good stuff here. I'd heard of Oblique Strategies before, good to learn more. There's a book that came out a number of years ago, I think it's called A Whack On The Side Of The Head, and it's all about creative thinking strategies for dealing with problems. I believe there was a set of cards developed for that same purpose.

I'll definitely check that book out - haven't heard of it before. Any suggestions for creative problem solving are always of interest!

I stumbled across them about 10 years ago or so when teaching a critical thinking class - they were a great way of forcing a different way of thinking about things. Let me know what you think if you use them!

I have set I bought in the eighties. Love them. I use them mainly in my creating music and mixing.
