I never saw Freaks and Geeks when it was first broadcast - I was teaching high school and, well, why would I want to spend my downtime watching high school kids?! That said ... I saw it a year or so ago here in the UK when it was still on Netflix - and it is brilliant. Certainly something to hunt down and see - and it's soundtrack is as good as Dazed and Confused's. Styx's 'Come Sail Away' is used perfectly in the first episode - and later Rush's 'Spirit of Radio' is used to amazing effect. Check it out if you can!

I skipped “Freaks and Geeks” when it sporadically aired but for different reason- it hit a bit close to home for me! The soundtrack helps complete the time travel back to my mathlete days!

Ah. Mathletics!

I was teaching at BHS when Freaks and Geeks came out - and only heard about it because Ned Steadman (!) came busting into a classroom at lunch talking about the greatest show set in a high school he'd ever seen. I think I might have watched a broadcast episode - but more than likely not. I was lucky to see the series on Netflix here in the UK - just before it went off that platform - but haven't been able to get it since. Truly luck of the draw. Episode 1 was playing on the in-flight entertainment when we flew to the States - so that was fortunate - but I don't know why the whole thing wasn't available - one round-trip and you'd see it all!

While I'm pretty sure I was the targeted demographic, I've never watched an episode of "Freaks and Geeks" for no other reason than I've never seen it on and available. I should probably seek it out one of these days because it sounds like something right up my alley. I've also never seen "Dazed and Confused" but that soundtrack looks like a winner. Great choices! :)
