Everyone has their "Exile" favorites and mine are "Loving Cup" and "All Down the Line." Great album for sure. I enjoyed your backstory behind its making and really like your playlist choices. I have never seen "Frenzy" but will add that to the list for a nice rainy Friday night activity.

My personal favourites are 'Rocks Off' and 'Let it Loose' - but, as one might say: they're all good!

`'Exile' is about casualties, and partying in the face of them. The party is obvious. The casualties are inevitable.'' Lester Bang, Creem, 1973

I primarily listened to the Stones’ singles—Hot Rocks was regularly on my turntable—so I didn’t listen to this until several years ago. I agree it’s a fantastic album and one I listen to as a whole (not as part of a playlist). The details on its recording are fascinating, so thanks for sharing!

Hot Rocks was an absolute favourite of mine. I'm not sure when I first really heard this album - certainly sometime in college - but it's stayed with me ever since. Really glad you liked the article!

Fascinating stuff, Bryan. I've never listened to that album, but now I will. Thanks for the link. The highest rate of tax was, in fact, 98%. I think it had the effect of making it profitable to relocate abroad, squirrel money away abroad, and lining the coffers of tax specialists. I doubt that it led to much more money in government vaults.

Glad you like it - it's a great album and worth your time if you have any interest in their music. And yes - higher taxes will never be paid by anyone who should pay them. As long as there's any loophole, advantage will be taken.
