I first saw A Clockwork Orange when I was a senior in high school, a few weeks after it was released. I’d read the book first, but my appreciation of the movie didn’t suffer for it.
The film was immensely popular among young people, at least in Brooklyn.
It's a great film - I can't remember when I first saw it (probably at a summer programme I went on between my last two years of high school - everything was focussed on 20th century works), but it made a lasting impression.
